I wrote a short chapter over the weekend on Lagrangian mechanics and how the concept of energy is defined from the so-called Lagrangian which is the difference between kinetic and potential energy. You can read it by clicking
here. I think this chapter can be useful if you want to learn about Lagrangian mechanics which generalizes the Newton's laws of motion.
I am planning to add discussions on conservation of momentum and angular momentum, and thus give 1-2 more examples.
If you are already familiar with the Lagrangian mechanics concept, you can drop me a line. I'd like to hear what you think about this short chapter. Thanks.
